Please join us for a presentation and book signing by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Kimmerer is a mother, scientist, decorated professor, and enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. In her presentation she will discuss how we might decolonize education by integrating indigenous knowledge as a complement to western scientific knowledge. She will do this by examining the relationship between three metaphors for types of knowledge: the fortress, the river and the garden. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.

This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging; The Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity’s Discussion Series; and the C.P. Snow Lecture Series.
