Dr. Jonathan Ablard, History, presented "Conspiracy Theories and Rumors in the History of Public Health" at the Tenth Workshop on the Social History of Health and Illness in Argentina and the Americas via ZOOM.

The workshop was hosted by the National University of the Littoral (Santa Fe, Argentina) and the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina

Dr. Ablard's keynote presentation considered how a historical approach to conspiracy theories can help us better understand the current information crisis as it pertains to matters of public health. His paper drew upon case studies from the El Salvador, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States.
