Park School class open to students interested in sustainability and reuse

The spring course, Communicating with Stakeholders (STCM311000) will be working with Finger Lakes ReUse to help them develop effective messaging and collaboration as they launch an ambitious new strategic plan.  If you're interested in gaining some skills and portfolio pieces in the area of cause and nonprofit management and communication, we welcome you to join!

The course will cover concepts of identifying stakeholders, building communication and collaboration plans, and the legal requirements for public communication for public companies, small businesses and non-profits. In our work with Finger Lakes ReUSe you'll get to work with their CEO (an IC alumna!) to understand their challenges and goals, and help her to create effective presentations, meetings, social media, and other communication strategies.

Although the class has some STCM or BUS prerequisites, if you have a background in sustainability we'd be happy to talk with you and likely can waive those prerequisites. Please contact Professor Diane Gayeski at mailto:gayeski@ithaca.edu if you'd like more info.
