What's On the Ballot?

As we get close to election day - you may be wondering What's On the Ballot?

You can go to your local Board of Election to find sample ballots that are pre-posted. Find your local board of election by searching on vote.gov

Tompkins County Ballots can be found here: https://tompkinscountyny.gov/boe/sampleballots

It’s always a good idea to check these in advance so you’re aware of what is on the ballot and familiar with how to vote.

(For example in Tompkins County, the office you’re voting for is across the top of the ballot and the parties are noted along the left column. You’ll vote by column and the header at the top of the column tells you how many votes you can make in that column.)

Always check both sides of the ballot as there are often propositions that appear on the back side of the ballot that you might want to gather more information on before deciding how to vote.

For more information about registering to vote, to check your registration status, or for information about absentee ballots go to vote.gov.
