Transfer Classes and ICC Requirements

How Transfer Classes Can Count for ICC Requirements

"Why isn't the class I took at my previous school counting for this ICC requirement?"

Transfer courses do not automatically fulfill requirements for the ICC, even when they receive an ICC designated course equivalency.

Students who have received transfer credit for courses taken at a previous institution and who wish to have a course (or courses) reviewed for ICC designations should complete the ICC Transfer Credit Evaluation request form.

Requests are reviewed based on the learning outcomes of the requested designation.

"What if I want to take my QL at my local college this summer?"

Great! You'll have a two step-process to complete. You'll need a Petition for Transfer Credit form (IC Workflow) for those credits to transfer back to IC. In addition to the PTC, you will need to complete the ICC Transfer Credit Evaluation request form.

  • You should plan to submit your requests PRIOR to enrolling in the course.
  • You will need to obtain a copy of the course syllabus for inclusion with both forms.
