Join the Park Center for Independent Media’s Distinguished Director, Professor Mickey Huff, for a book launch addressing the news that didn’t make the news this past year with a panel of contributors to Project Censored’s latest annual book on December 4, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Clark Lounge, Campus Center.

Since 1976, media watchdog Project Censored has published the Top 25 censored or under-reported independent news stories each year that the corporate media censored, otherwise distorted, or ignored altogether.

By highlighting the year’s most significant underreported stories, State of the Free Press 2025 shows how independent journalism can promote civic engagement and reconnect people who have otherwise lost interest in sensational “news” that distracts and polarizes us.

State of the Free Press 2025 is a joint publication of Censored Press and Seven Stories Press.

Hosted by Professor Mickey Huff, PCIM Director; Shealeigh Voitl, co-editor and contributor toState of the Free Press 2025;Robin Andersen, Professor Emerita of Media Studies, Fordham University; and Steve Macek, Professor of Communications and Media Studies, North Central College; co-coordinator of the Project’s Campus Affiliates program.
