Dear Ithaca College Community,
I’m writing to share some personal news: I have accepted a position at Tompkins Cortland Community College and will be transitioning from my roles as Associate Director of the BIPOC Unity Center and Program Director for the MLK Scholarship/First Gen Programs.
These past three years have been incredibly meaningful to me. Ithaca College has been more than a workplace—it has been a community where I have grown personally and professionally, built meaningful relationships, and had the honor of working alongside so many of you in service of our students.
To the students, you have been my greatest source of inspiration. The resilience, creativity, and passion you bring to this campus make it such a special place. I have cherished the connections we’ve built, the stories we’ve shared, and the work we’ve done together to create a more inclusive and supportive community.
While I am excited about this new chapter, leaving Ithaca College is bittersweet. I will deeply miss the joy, energy, and authenticity that define this community and the incredible people who make it what it is.
Before I go, I’d love the chance to celebrate and reflect on our time together. Please join me for a farewell party on Monday, December 16th, from 1–3 PM at the Muller Chapel. It would mean so much to see you there!
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. I will always carry the memories of our time together with me and wish you all the best in your continued growth and success.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Shadayvia Wallace
