It is with both excitement for the well-deserved lifestyle change and appreciation for her dedicated service that we announce Michelle Stiles will be retiring from her position as operations assistant in the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management, after nearly 12 years of devoted service to the Ithaca College community.
During her tenure, Michelle found a home in Public Safety, having come from a family of law enforcement officers. Like a family, Public Safety is multifaceted and dynamic, and Michelle played a crucial role in supporting the office as it grew and evolved over the years. She ensured that finances and logistics were in order, allowing others in the office to focus on providing essential administrative and emergency services to our campus community.
Michelle will be leaving us to enjoy some of the finer focuses in her life to include her work with stained glass, leather sewing and repair, and taking long motorcycle rides with her husband, Ron. A staple of Michelle’s presence in the Office of Public Safety is her laughter, which can often be heard down many of the hallways of OPS, concurrently. This will be missed.
Michelle’s last day is scheduled to be January 6th, 2025.
Thank you, Michelle, for your dedication and commitment to Public Safety here at Ithaca College! We wish you all the best in your retirement and the new adventures ahead!
