Dance track by Alex Reed, Professor of Music Theory and Integrative Studies, mentioned on NPR and reviewed on podcast

A recent dance track in the new genre Hit Em, "Hit 'Em Dreamgirl" by Alex Reed, Professor of Music Theory and Integrative Studies, received a positive review on the podcast Hearing Things and also was mentioned on NPR's Weekend Edition.

Music Theory and Integrative Studies, received a positive review on the podcast Hearing Things and also was mentioned on NPR's Weekend Edition. The new genre Hit Em was created by electronic musician Drew Daniel based on a dream in which a woman at a rave gave him instructions for writing music. Daniel tweeted about his dream which inspired multiple musicians to create dance tracks that followed these instructions. Alex was the first to post his track, which was played on NPR during an interview with Daniel and also received a rave review on the Hearing Things podcast.
