Periodically, institutions across the United States are required to go through a reaccreditation process, which ensures that they are able to continue enrolling students and issuing degrees. We're telling you this because it's time for us at IC to go through our multi-year reaccreditation with our accrediting body the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Reflect: What do we do well? Refine: What can we do better? Renew: Who do we want to be?
These questions are all part of the process and are tackled by Working Groups made up of students, faculty, and staff. Each group will research and evaluate our efforts across one of seven standards and students are an important part of the process. We are currently seeking 2 students per standard who want to work, side by side with faculty and staff volunteers to answer these and other important questions.
What will you get from it?
- An inside look into how a college establishes and delivers on its educational mission.
- Experience being part of a comprehensive research project.
- The chance to meet and network with faculty and staff from disciplines across campus.
- An amazing thing to put on your resume and talk about in future job or internship interviews.
