The 2022 Cortaca Jug at Yankee Stadium is shaping up to be a classic contest, as Ithaca and Cortland will meet as undefeated teams with identical 9-0 records. While the Bombers prepare to defeat the Red Dragons on the field, everyone can get involved in helping Ithaca defeat Cortland off the field by participating in the 2022 Cortaca Giving Challenge.
Beginning Monday, November 7, Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland will compete to see which school can get the most supporters to make a gift before the end of the day on Sunday, November 13 at 11:59 p.m. Not only are bragging rights on the line, but the president of the losing school must wear a sweatshirt of the winning school.
“The Cortaca Giving Challenge is an excellent way for all members of the IC family to rally together in a fun way to support our institution,” said Quincy Davidson, interim vice president for philanthropy and engagement. “We need your help to keep President Cornish in blue!”
As if that weren’t enough, there are awesome opportunities for donors to earn bonus funds, win cool prizes, and raise money to support students as they pursue their dream of an IC education. In 2019, when the Cortaca game was held at MetLife Stadium, IC defeated Cortland in the giving challenge.
Participants are encouraged to donate to the Annual Fund, which supports every single part of the IC experience, including financial aid, engaging and enriching classroom experiences, and student clubs and activities.
