In a milestone year marking its 30th anniversary, Educational Technology Day returns to Ithaca College in 2024 following a four-year hiatus. Scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, this regional technology event has consistently drawn over 1,000 attendees annually from higher education, K-12 schools, and local businesses and organizations. It is free and open to the public.
What to Expect at Ed Tech Day:
- Vendor Technology Showcase: Explore the latest innovations from over 60 national and regional hardware and software vendors. Dive into demonstrations that emphasize practical applications for teachers, staff, and students.
- College Showcase: Engage with faculty and staff as they demonstrate how educational technology is integrated into their teaching and learning environments.
- Seminars and Demonstrations: Immerse yourself in a series of seminars covering diverse topics such as Artificial Intelligence, 3D Printing, Esports, Cloud Computing, AR/VR, Virtualization, and Instructional Tools. A special Teaching and Learning with Technology Symposium track will spotlight innovations and best practices in technology-enhanced education.
Ithaca College is excited to partner with NYSERNet.org to help organize this year’s event.
“Returning after a four-year break due to the pandemic, Educational Technology Day brings together educators, industry leaders, and technology enthusiasts to explore the latest trends and innovations in educational technology,” said David Weil, Ithaca College vice president and chief information and analytics officer. “With a history spanning three decades, the event remains a cornerstone for collaboration and knowledge-sharing about educational technology in the upstate New York region.”
