The public is invited to view Ithaca College’s virtual Commencement Concert, which will feature pre-recorded performances from students in IC’s School of Music.
The Commencement Concert will air Thursday, May 20 at 8 p.m. and can be viewed on ICTV – local Spectrum cable channel 16 – and online as a YouTube Premiere at: Commencement Concert YouTube Premiere. The concert will also be available to view on the Commencement website after the premiere has aired.
The engaging concert was recorded around the fountains and will showcase the talents of School of Music student performers in the Wind Symphony, Steel Band, Choir, Trumpet Ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Treble Chorale, Trombone Troupe, Wind Ensemble, and the Senior Vocal Ensemble and Brass Quintet.
The program is directed by Mike Titlebaum and will feature works by artists ranging from Igor Stravinsky to John Philip Sousa to Bill Withers. The Jazz Ensemble will perform “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers and arranged by IC graduate Jacob Graham ’21.
