SCREENING

Screening of “Civil Warriors,” a feature film that tells the true story of members of two black families from upstate New York who enlisted in the United States Colored Troops and fought in the Civil War, followed by a panel discussion; 7 p.m., Park Hall Auditorium.

MUSIC

Guest recital by the Moreau-VanTuinen Duo, featuring Danielle Moreau on percussion and Danielle VanTuinen on euphonium/tuba; 7 p.m., Nabenhauer Recital Room, Whalen Center.

SCREENING
Screening of “Unfractured,” a documentary about anti-fracking activist and Ithaca College distinguished scholar in residence Sandra Steingraber, with an introduction by Steingraber and a post-screening discussion with filmmaker Chanda Chevannes; 7 p.m., Park Hall Auditorium.

SATURDAY, NOV. 3
MUSIC

Concert by the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, featuring works by Bach, Brahms and Hartke (admission charged, tickets available at ccoithaca.org); 7:30 p.m., Ford Hall, Whalen Center.

“A Farewell Recital with Friends,” featuring saxophonist Steven Mauk, who is retiring after over four decades of teaching, and fellow faculty performers; 4 p.m., Hockett Family Recital Hall, Whalen Center.

Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen showing of the documentary “Reel In the Closet,” the story of a film tech who discovers the real lives of queer people in the past by restoring hundreds of never-before-seen home movies dating back to the 1930s; 6 p.m., Textor 103.
