The Division III LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Standings were released on December 21 following the completion of the 2023 fall season and Ithaca College ranked 24th out of 177 institutions that earned points with 201.5.
Directors' Cup points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports in NCAA postseason competition, measured by nine women's sports and nine men's sports.
Four programs at IC represented the Bombers as women's cross country, field hockey, football and volleyball all scored points. Women's cross country earned 31.5 points for its showing at the NCAA Niagara Regional, while field hockey and football both received 53 points for ninth place finishes and volleyball contributed 64 points for its ninth-place showing.
IC holds a 73.5-point advantage over the next closet Liberty League foe, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, as the Statesmen and Herons have 128 points.
The Bombers are currently second in New York, trailing only SUNY Cortland.
Ithaca is one of just five schools to finish within the top 30 every year since the Directors' Cup started in 1995-96. The other institutions are Amherst College, Emory University, Middlebury College, and Williams College.
