Distinguished Visiting Writer Ander Monson will give a public reading at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18 in Clark Lounge, Campus Center.

Ander Monson, the director of the University of Arizona's MFA program, has published six books of nonfiction, fiction, and poetry, with two others forthcoming. A finalist for awards from the National Book Critics Circle and the New York Public Library, Monson has won the Graywolf Prize in Nonfiction, the Annie Dillard prize in Creative Nonfiction, the World’s Best Short-Short Story Contest, and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, Christopher Isherwood Foundation, and Howard Foundation. He is the editor and publisher of the journal DIAGRAM and the New Michigan Press, and the founder of the website Essay Daily.
