Presented in observance of Women’s History Month

Brooke Guinan was the first openly transgender firefighter in New York City. A third- generation firefighter, Brooke has a passion for heroism that runs in her blood. When Brooke transitions, it poses a challenge to a macho profession and to her family. Brooke and her boyfriend Jim, an Air Force veteran, realize that having the life they want means being vulnerable in the face of judgment. A heartfelt portrait of change in the American family and workplace, and a testament to love, courage, and loyalty.
