Mark Eyerly became IC’s inaugural vice president for marketing and communications on July 1, 2023.
Previously, he served six years as a vice president at Lafayette College, where he transformed the marketing communications function into a strategic partner for enrollment growth, fundraising success, and faculty visibility. His team’s work helped Lafayette realize a 29% increase in student applications (to a record-high 10,000 applicants); raise $426 million (7% beyond the campaign goal); and place faculty stories and essays in leading national and trade outlets.
Before his work at Lafayette, Eyerly served as chief communications officer at Temple University, and he held leadership roles at the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and the Wiliam Penn Foundation. He began his career in higher education at Cornell University, where he spent nine years as a writer and editor.
Eyerly holds an M.S. in organizational dynamics from Penn and a B.A. in journalism from Temple.
