Born and raised in Brooklyn, Claire moved to rural Geneseo, New York for college. At SUNY Geneseo Claire graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology in May of 2023. From her first Shabbat at Geneseo, she dedicated her time to her Hillel community and filled numerous roles there with her favorites being LGBTQ Inclusion Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, and President. She also had a voracious interest in both research and clinical psychology spending time in three laboratories and one clinical internship before graduation. After graduating, Claire moved to Buffalo for work and created a LGBTQ Jewish Organization in her free time. It was in Buffalo she realized her true passion was creating joyful Jewish communities that lifts people up and invites them in. Through her friendship with another Springboard Fellow, Claire learned about the opportunity to make that passion a career with Hillel. Claire is thrilled to work at Ithaca College Hillel and get to know all of their students! She hopes to bring her passion for social justice as well as her extroverted personality to the role. In her personal life she loves Ben and Jerry’s Marshmallow Sky Ice Cream, swapping clothes with friends, and weightlifting.
