Definition

Ithaca College defines Spiritual Wellness as expanding a sense of purpose, meaning, and belonging - including morals and ethics individually; in one’s experiences in relationship to others in their community; and developing a connection with the divine or the universe. This may or may not involve religious and spiritual practices.

  • Mindful IC: Various mindfulness resources including meditation sessions occurring three times per week, a mindfulness retreat, and various online resources.
  • Nature RX: Ithaca College Campus Nature Rx provides learners with resources for improving emotional, spiritual, physical, social, and environmental wellness through a connection with nature.
  • Religious, Spiritual, and Secular Groups: Explore the various partner organizations that coincide with the programming and support offered by Ithaca College's Office of Religious and Spiritual Life.
  • Wysa (Self-Care Phone App): Wysa has been internationally recognized for its innovative and clinically validated digital application. Drawing from its closed Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform – meticulously developed by a team of internationally certified psychologists, designers, developers and anonymous data from over 500,000 users – the application customizes to it's users and offers a variety of self-care resources to help support users’ mental health resilience and emotional wellbeing. Including mindfulness and mediation resources, sleep exercises and techniques, anxiety and stress management, and more. IC students, employees and dependents have free premium access, to download the application follow the link above. 
  • Student Clubs and Organizations: IC Engage offers a full list of registered and active student organizations for students to see which ones they might like to join, and see what events are happening on campus. This platform is helpful to build connections, a sense of belonging, and meaningful experiences. Students can search for organizations based on categories or interests. 
  • Weekly Chapel Gatherings ScheduleWeekly schedule of reoccurring events being led by the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and partner organizations.
