A celebration of students across the Ithaca College community and what they have learned through their co-curricular experiences to become exemplary leaders and community members! All students, staff, faculty, administrators, alumni, and friends are invited to view posters that celebrate involvement on campus and to listen to oral presentations about what students have learned from their involvement in clubs, teams, campus jobs, service, and more!

Autism and Neurodiversity Cultural Responsiveness: Improving Communication & Understanding with Sara Sanders Gardner

Business School, Room 103
Participants in this 90-minute interactive workshop will have the opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and learn to better understand and communicate with neurodivergent people. We will identify current practices you are already using and answer questions you have coming into the workshop, as well as those that arise throughout. We will explore neurodiversity as a culture, including communication tools for interacting in a culturally responsive manner.

Kwame Dawes, Distinguished Visiting Writer

Join us for a public reading and Q&A by Kwame Dawes. Kwame Dawes is the author of numerous books of poetry and other books of fiction, criticism, and essays. His most recent collection is Sturge Town (Peepal Tree Press, UK 2023). Dawes is Professor of Literary Arts at Brown University. He teaches in the Pacific MFA Program and is the Series Editor of the African Poetry Book Series, Director of the African Poetry Book Fund, and Artistic Director of the Calabash International Literary Festival.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TENTATIVELY TO WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2ND, 2025 This special luncheon will feature a candid conversation with Dr. Tyron Pope, Clinical Lecturer of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Iona University, a distinguished professional with a background in criminal justice and law enforcement. In his presentation and talk, Dr. Pope will share his experiences as a Black man in law enforcement, the challenges and complexities of working within the system, and the future role that police can execute in rebuilding trust with marginalized communities.
