The Annual James J. Whalen Academic Symposium provides a forum for students, faculty, and the community to discuss cutting edge research topics and to examine the connection between research and education. The Symposium includes poster, presentation and creative (visual, media and performing arts) sessions by students from all academic disciplines.

NCUR Information Session

This will be a brief information session for students interested in participating in the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR).

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is the largest conference on undergraduate research in the country. Each year, approximately 4,000 undergraduates from all over the country present their scholarship as posters, oral presentations, performances, and works of art. It is a great opportunity for students to present their research and network with other undergraduate researchers.

Enjoy a free continental breakfast while engaging with Dr. Ednita Wright to learn about effective teaching strategies related to culture and aging.

Dr. Wright will provide a half-day interactive session with faculty focused on cultural competence in aging education. The session will engage faculty in discussion of effective teaching of aging content related to culture and aging. This session is made possible by the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center (FLGEC).
