Take a virtual walk IC's LGBT Center director to learn more about the people and places that made LGBTQ history right here in Ithaca.

Students can earn Leading in a Diverse World SLI credit by signing up at least 24 hours before the event.This event is part of the Ithaca Summer of Pride 2020 series.

PCIM will host the Freedom of the Press Foundation at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 in the Park Hall Auditorium. Parker Higgins, Director of Advocacy, will discuss how the non-profit organization protects, defends, and empowers public-interest journalism in the 21st century.

Educational Inequity in the U.S.: Teach Us All Film Screening & Discussion (LDW)

During this session, students will learn more on how educational inequity works in the United States. The film screening will feature leaders who are working on how to change the school system which is still largely segregated even after the Brown v. Board decision. After the film screening, students will hear from a leader who now works in education and engage in a Q&A on what and how they can combat educational inequity.

Census 2020 - What Everyone Needs to Know!

Join the Ithaca College Census 2020 committee for a presentation about the 2020 Census on Tuesday, February 11 in the Clark Lounge. Come hear Xi Lian, Partnerships Representative of the New York Regional Census Center, give an overview of the Census. Highlights will include how census information is used, how your personal information is protected, positions with the Census (they pay $20 an hour), the process for administration of the Census, and important dates. Ms. Lian will also be able to answer any questions you have about your participation.

Racial microaggressions are brief and commonplace daily, verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative racial slights and insults toward students of color and other populations in campus settings. Implicit bias work addresses the paradox of how one can hold progressive beliefs and principles and still think, speak and act in ways that perpetuate racial bias.
