The Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics cultivates the analytical skills you will need to assess business problems and provide valuable, data-informed insights for business leaders. You’ll be introduced to the rapidly evolving world of analytics and gain the necessary mathematical, computing, and business tools you’ll need to succeed.
The Business Analytics program is distinctively hands-on and experiential. In class as well as in IC’s Neeson Analytics Lab, you’ll learn how to use a variety of software tools and apply them to data analysis to support better business decisions.
To equip you with additional skills in demand among employers, you’ll also take interdisciplinary courses outside of the School of Business—for example, in Computer Science, Economics, and Math—as well as a behavioral course on the social context of data-informed organizational decisions. You’ll also take a project management course.
The program lays a groundwork for professional skills and certifications, including the IIBA - CBDA (Certification in Business Data Analytics).
You’ll benefit from sufficient flexibility to explore across the liberal arts and other professional fields. The purpose of this degree is to educate broadly minded business analysts.
