Film (B.F.A.)

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Film combines core production requirements with supplemental critical studies courses in cinema, still photography, and studio art. You will be introduced to industry standards for the production of independent film in the genres live action, documentary, and animation. You will also hone your skills in film as a fine art practice through the crafts of cinematography and directing. If you are interested in doing so, you may gain experience in production design by adding a minor in art or theatre.

Ithaca College has the equipment and facilities including three film and video studios that will help you build an excellent foundation for your future career. You’ll have access to traditional film cameras and professional HD cameras, professional lighting equipment, and well-appointed editing labs.
