How does Park Pathways work?

If your academic interests are in communications and media but you're not sure which Park School major is best for you, Park Pathways may be an option.

You can apply to be an “undeclared” Park School major through Park Pathways. Here’s how it works:

  • If you can’t decide which program is best for you, apply to Park Pathways (as an alternative to applying to one of the Park School majors).
  • If you are offered admission, you’ll be able enroll for up to 3 semesters before being required to declare your major.
  • Each semester, you are expected to choose 2 first-year Park School courses (one from each group below) in addition to Integrated Core Curriculum (ICC) courses and other elective courses.
    • Group A: foundational courses
    • Group B: applied courses
  • You will be able to declare your major at any time but will be REQUIRED to do so before registering for your fourth semester.
  • In their first semester, Park Pathways students are required to enroll in GCOM 13000 S’Park: Igniting Your Future in Communications. S’Park faculty are assigned as the advisors for students in the Park Pathways cohort.
