The capstone project is a process improvement group project in small groups. Learners will identify one specific area of healthcare improvement based on the needs of Tompkins County as specified in the Community Health Assessment. Each small group presented its project to the faculty, who evaluated it for potential implementation barriers, economic feasibility, and stakeholder involvement. Each group is expected to take the faculty feedback and research possible solutions.
During end-of rotations days, small group will present up to a 10-minute PowerPoint Presentation to an audience of their peers, summarizing their process improvement project with specific examples of how they addressed the faculty feedback. Each member of the group should be able to answer any questions that arise regarding their project.
