At Ithaca, you’ll develop your expertise alongside a tight-knit cohort of fellow learners. In small groups and individually, you’ll receive tailored instruction and personal attention from the seasoned experts who dedicate their time and knowledge as faculty in the SLP program. Those same faculty can be your mentors in a graduate assistantship or your co-collaborators in research for your elective courses and extracurricular scholarship.
Hands-on Learning Opportunities
You’ll learn and research in leading-edge facilities, including six therapy rooms with adjoining observation rooms, a digitally-equipped diagnostic room, the assistive technology and alternative communication lab, a preparatory workroom, an audiology sound suite with adjoining control room, and the extensive diagnostic and treatment resources available in the materials room.
Online modality degree option. For those seeking fully online study for their master's degree, our newest offering is a fully online, part-time M.S. in SLP. Note that for those applicants who don't have a background in communication disorders, our online online degree option also offers the opportunity to complete the prerequisite courses while enrolled in the program. Once you’ve completed your clinical fellowship, you’ll become eligible to apply for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) and licensure as a speech-language pathologist in New York State. Our on-campus experts can help you navigate the licensure process in other jurisdictions.
