Ithaca College believes that broadly educated individuals make good visual artists. Our Art Minor balances the college’s liberal arts courses with a foundation in fine art. Students create artworks, but they also learn to think, read, write, and talk about art.
What You'll Learn
Students gain experience in studio art and art history to increase creativity, creative problem-solving and visual literacy. The art minor serves as an excellent complement to many majors, including art history, integrated communication management, environmental studies, and writing.
Curriculum Requirements
Students take 8 credits of introductory studio art courses, 12 credits of intermediate/advanced studio art courses and 4 credits of art history.
