Jack Wang, a professor in the Department of Writing specializing in fiction, recently received the 2021 Central New York Book Award in Fiction for his debut book, We Two Alone. The awards ceremony, hosted on Sept. 29 at the Central New York Philanthropy Center in Syracuse, is sponsored annually by the YMCA of Central New York's Downtown Writers Center (although this was the first live presentation in two years due to the pandemic). We Two Alone is a collection of short stories and a novella that captures the evolution of the Chinese immigrant experience over the last century.
Congratulations, Professor Wang!
