Why I Chose Ithaca College
In a flood of what seemed like endless auditions where I was treated as just another number, IC cared for me as a whole human. This intentionality has carried through in my education here! I love that my professors can get to know me individually and support me in my unique needs. Additionally, other schools told me that participating in such a rigorous and time-consuming major would make it impossible to pursue my passions outside of acting, such as soccer, religion, and time abroad. Ithaca was the only school that never used the word impossible. Here at IC, I am free to explore every facet of who I am, which is what makes me such a powerful addition in the world around me.

Conference
I went to a worship conference for Lighthouse Christian Fellowship that was funded by the school's Office of Student Engagement. I was so blessed by the opportunity to grow closer to my core team, learn important leadership skills, and combine my passions of music and Christianity.

Advice
It can be especially easy for performers to put their physical and mental needs to the side. But the best thing you can do in the process of college searching/auditioning is to take care of yourself. Get sleep. Eat. Cuddle up with a book. Spend time with loved ones. Request an extra scoop of ice cream. Watch that movie you've been craving to watch. EAT. In order to be healthy once you go to a school, you need to be healthy in the process of getting there. You deserve breaks, breaths, and joy in this process, so let all that fun stuff in!
