Terms & Acronyms

The Athletics & Events Center gives the Ithaca College community a state-of-the-art place to gather, learn, train, and compete. 

The Campus Center (CC) serves all members of the campus - faculty, staff, students, administrators, alumni and guests.  It is the heart of the Ithaca College campus, enhancing the student experience and promoting student success.

In the Center for Health Sciences, you will find health, wellness, and rehabilitation labs and clinics. 

The Center for Natural Sciences is a facility that sets the standard for science education and promotes cutting-edge scientific research.

The Garden Apartments (G) are configured to house 2, 4, or 6 students and are ideal for students who desire an alternative to a traditional residence hall experience. Each apartment is complete with a small kitchen, a bathroom, and living area. 

Located in Campus Center, IC Square, or the PUB, is a food court that provides a great variety of delicious food selections.

The Peggy Ryan Williams Center houses the Office of Admission, the Office of the President, the Provost, the Registrar, Student Financial Services, and Human Resources. It is also home to many other administrative offices.

Residential Learning Communities (RLCs) are on campus communities that let you learn, work on projects, and take in faculty presentations with your academic peers. 

The Terrace (T) residence halls feature single, double, and triple rooms and are located above the Hill Center and the Center for Health Sciences.

The Ithaca College Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) houses a team of licensed and license-eligible professionals who promote and foster mental health, emotional well-being, and a sense of belonging. 

The Office of Conference and Event Services (CES) has professional event planners that assist in  showcasing groups while working to achieve the goals of conferences, special events, or symposiums. 

First-Year Experience (FYE) is a set of programs and activities for new students.

The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance (HSHP) offers 16 majors and 4 graduate programs for both clinical and non-clinical careers.

The Integrative Core Curriculum (ICC) is a set of academic experiences to help students connect concepts across disciplines. 

The Center for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Social Change (IDEAS) focuses on supporting students in their journey to better connect their lived experiences to larger ideals of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Social Change.

The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) provides innovative and collaborative learning opportunities to empower all students at Ithaca.

The Office of New Student and Transition Programs (NSTP) partners with students, families, and campus colleagues to promote contagious excitement for Ithaca College.

Student Affairs and Campus Life (SACL) fosters the comprehensive growth of students, their academic success, and community development by providing learning opportunities and experiences as well as essential services for all members of the College community.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) works to facilitate access for students with disabilities at Ithaca College.  Through the interactive process, SAS works in partnership with IC students, faculty and staff to develop and implement accommodation plans.   

The Bureau of Concerts (BOC) is a student organization on campus. Their mission is to provide the greater Ithaca College community quality entertainment of a musical variety, to promote relations between Ithaca College and the surrounding communities through programming, and to foster members as concert planning specialists. 

The Student Activities Board is a student run organization that strives to provide quality programming to entertain, educate and enlighten the Ithaca College community.

The Student Activities Center (SAC) is located in Egbert Hall 311 in the Campus Center. This space is available for any and all student organization needs! This space serves as a resource center for student organizations. A Student Leadership Consultant is always on duty when the SAC is open to provide assistance and answer any questions you may have! 

The Student Governance Council (SGC) is the representative body for the Ithaca College student community. SGC works with the student community to implement change on campus and improve student life. Additionally, SGC is the link between the students and the Senior Leadership Team providing student feedback on campus issues and plans.
