New Faculty Institute

The New Faculty Institute is a facilitated program that prepares participants for successful first teaching experiences at Ithaca College and sets them on a path to teaching excellence. The Institute includes in-person orientation meetings, onboarding sessions, and an online course using the College’s LMS (learning management system), Canvas. The online component focuses on the basics of teaching, including how students learn, inclusive teaching strategies, classroom management, syllabus and lesson plan construction, and assessment.
