Andrew Smith, Dana Professor of Biology, will be the featured speaker at the May 17 ceremony.

Again this year, we will hold a full Graduate Hooding and Commencement ceremony that celebrates the individual accomplishments of our graduate students. During the ceremony, you will be formally hooded by your respective faculty, and we will formally confer your graduate degree.
The Graduate Hooding and Commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Every year we ask our graduates to complete the First Destination Survey to share their post-graduation plans. The information we receive helps our campus enhance experiences and curriculum that benefit our students. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and it is a task that must be completed for graduation. You will not receive your diploma in the mail until you have completed your survey!
Not sure what you’re doing yet? It’s okay to tell us that and go back later to update your survey once your plans are in place. If you need support in figuring out your plans, email the Center for Career Exploration & Development at careers@ithaca.edu.
