Announcing Plans for May 2025 Commencement

Commencement is scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. ET inside the Athletics and Events Center's Glazer Arena.

Dear Class of 2025,

I hope you are enjoying your final fall semester at Ithaca College. I believe I speak for all of our faculty and staff when I say how wonderful it has been to support you as you complete your journey as an Ithaca College student.

My purpose in writing to you today is to share the college’s plans for your Commencement this coming May. We will host a single Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 18, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. ET inside the Athletics and Events Center's Glazer Arena. The May 2025 Commencement ceremony is offered to students who are graduating in December 2024, as well as May, July, August, October, and December 2025.

Students are required to sign up via MarchingOrder to participate in this ceremony—please watch your inbox in early February for an email from commencement@ithaca.edu with additional details. As the date draws closer, more information will be shared via email and also added to the Ithaca College Commencement website.  If you are expecting to graduate this coming May and do not receive any communication regarding your upcoming commencement by mid-February, please contact us at commencement@ithaca.edu

Each graduate will have the opportunity to request up to four guest tickets when completing their registration. The ceremony will be live streamed, and alternative viewing locations will be set up on campus for any guests who cannot join us in the Glazer Arena.

We encourage family members to plan ahead if they intend to join us on South Hill for this celebratory weekend. Check out the Visit Ithaca website for more information on area lodging.

Class of 2025, it is our intention to offer you a meaningful, joyful moment that is reflective of all the magic that is Ithaca College. I cannot wait to celebrate with you and your loved ones in May!

Sincerely

Melanie I. Stein
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
