We are excited to reach out to you today to share additional information about our plans to celebrate the Class of 2024. As we move through this spring semester, we are preparing a ceremony like no other, in true IC style—with spirit, joy, and a deep sense of community.
Important Commencement Updates for the Class of 2024
Commencement Information
As previously announced, Ithaca College will host an undergraduate Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 19, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m. ET inside the Athletics and Events Center’s Glazer Arena. Line-up for the graduate procession begins at 9:00 a.m. ET with the procession starting at 10:00 a.m. ET. Guests should plan to be in their seats in the arena no later than 9:45 a.m.
You will have the opportunity to walk alongside, sit next to, and graduate with your friends and peers from across campus. Each student who wishes to participate will walk across the stage in the Glazer Arena in full regalia and have their name called individually. Professional photographers will be on hand to take pictures of you, both on the stage and after leaving the stage.
RSVP Through Marching Order
On Wednesday, February 7, you will receive a personalized email to your IC email account with instructions on the registration process for the Commencement ceremony. Completion of the RSVP form is REQUIRED for all Class of 2024 graduates.
The email on February 7, will also share additional information for the 2024 Commencement planning process, including instructions for:
- Creating and setting up your Marching Order account.
- Completing and editing your personalized appreciation slide (image, chosen name, and personal message) which will be displayed during the Commencement ceremony.
- Recording your name as it will be pronounced during the ceremony.
- Reserving and distributing guest tickets.
Based on our most recent assessments, we’re pleased to announce that we will begin by providing each graduate with up to FIVE guest tickets. If there are tickets remaining after the initial distribution, they will be made available through a first-come, first-serve lottery in April. In addition, the ceremony will be livestreamed, and an alternative viewing location will be set up on campus in Textor Hall Room #102 for any guests who cannot join us in the Glazer Arena.
The firm deadline for you to submit a completed RSVP is 5:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Due to the extensive planning required to host this event, it is necessary that we receive a completed RSVP by that date. There will not be a second opportunity to submit a completed RSVP once this deadline passes.
