Prospective Students

The Voice Area at Ithaca College is made up of professional vocalists, each with a unique area of expertise. You will find the voice faculty highly collaborative with a combined vision that has developed an innovative curriculum that is truly flexible and comprehensive. As with most music programs, you will receive weekly voice lessons, studio performance classes, diction training, and perform with amazing ensembles. In addition, you'll perform in recitals, scenes programs, workshops, concerts, and full productions. You'll have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of repertoire and genres as well as to take deep dives into the areas that you are most excited about. Our area has piloted a biannual event called Voice Intensive, intended to add depth and breadth to the traditional vocal curriculum through a series of over 40 hours of workshops each semester. Voice Intensive seeks to promote the School of Music’s mission to educate students who transform the human condition through the art and practice of music.
