I am a proud graduate of the Ithaca College occupational therapy program. I began teaching part time in the OT department in the Fall of 2009 and joined the full time faculty in the Fall of 2018. I have been active throughout my career as an OT in supporting and supervising OT students on fieldwork. Clinically, I have most recently practiced in early intervention and preschool areas. In addition, I have been a school-based OT and have worked in a hospital and rehabilitation setting. I am particularly interested in incorporating clinical experience into the classroom. I am drawn to the world of early intervention due to the emphasis on the use of natural environments and collaboration with families as part of the therapy process.
I have taught seminars for Concepts in Adult OT, Concepts in Pediatric OT (lecture and seminar), Introduction to Occupational Science, Pediatric Clinical Conditions in Occupational Therapy, and Clinical Practice in OT (in the IC OT clinic).
I have lived in and around Ithaca for the majority of my life. Feel free to ask me any questions about the area!
When not at IC, I spend time stumbling through home improvement projects, tending to my rescue cats, and trying out new baking recipes.
