I joined the Ithaca College department of Occupational Therapy in the summer of 2011. I have been an occupational therapist for over 20 years practicing in the areas of mental health, geriatrics and assistive technology. I have also been an occupational therapy educator for almost 20 years in both occupational therapy assistant and occupational therapy programs.
Presently, I am certified by RESNA as an assistive technology practitioner and I am the Chair of the OT Professional Specialty Group (PSG). I was the Director of a federally funded assistive technology program in the state of Maine. My passion is technology and environmental intervention and I am thrilled to be the course instructor for Technology Interventions for Occupational Therapists here at IC.
My other interests include service learning and travelling. During the summer of 2012, I had the privilege of taking seven Ithaca College students on a study abroad program to Ecuador.
I live in Ithaca with my husband Dennis and my dog Mochi. We enjoy gardening and hiking in this beautiful area.
