Megan Hotchkiss, PT, DPT is an Ithaca College physical therapy alumna, receiving her BS in clinical exercise science, MS in Physical Therapy, and Doctorate of Physical Therapy all from IC. After graduating with her DPT, she worked as a staff physical therapist at a hospital in Rome, GA for several years treating patients in both the acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. While she worked with patients with all types of medical and physical therapy diagnoses, she focused on those with neurological disorders, medical complexity, and post-amputation care. Dr. Hotchkiss' primary responsibility in the program is clinical education, overseeing all of the clinical experiences during the professional phase. Her teaching responsibilities are in the Professional Development series and Prosthetics & Orthotics course. She maintains her clinical practice in the Ithaca College Occupational and Physical Therapy Clinic working with patients with neurological conditions, balance impairments, and amputations. Dr. Hotchkiss' research interests include interpersonal communication skills in physical therapy students and the effects of physical therapy interventions in patients with Parkinson disease.
