Dr. Nord is Associate Professor of Music Technology at Ithaca College. His PhD is from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he studied with Bruce Benward, John Schaffer, and Stephen Dembski. He also holds an M.M. in Horn and Theory from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and M.S. and B.S. degrees in Music Education from Portland State University. Horn studies were with Patrick Fay, Christopher Leuba, James Wehrman, and Douglas Hill.
In the field of technology, Dr. Nord began programming in 1969. Coursework at the UW-Madison included a minor in computer programming. He has given presentations at numerous national and international conferences and is in demand as a clinician for school music teachers wanting to explore new uses for current and developing technologies.
