Ithaca College families are critical members of the IC community. Student success is greatly enhanced when families are provided with resources and information to support their students. Formed in Winter 2020, the Ithaca College Family Council (ICFC) represents all current and former IC families and serves as a liaison between college leadership and families. Additionally, the work of this group ensures that families and students connect with the college—and with one another—to access resources and create relationships for success and meaningful engagement.
As the informed voice of families and students, we offer extremely valuable perspectives. We work to facilitate programs, services, and information for new and continuing students and their families that inspire successful transitions, college engagement, student development, and Ithaca College Bomber community pride.
Led by two co-chairs, we strive to have members from all of the undergraduate and graduate schools, as well as from various backgrounds, geographic regions, professions, and interests. The Family Council is an excellent way to stay involved with Ithaca College and represent IC in your community during your student’s college career and beyond. Members can serve for the entire duration of their student's undergraduate and/or graduate years.
