The School of Humanities and Sciences is dedicated to making dynamic and relevant speakers available to the campus community as well as to the greater Ithaca area. From authors, philosophers, and scholars to poet laureates and Pulitzer Prize winners, these speakers are not only informative but also thought provoking.
Two of the more prominent speaker series in H&S are the C. P. Snow Lecture Series, the longest-running series at Ithaca College, and the Distinguished Speaker in the Humanities, which was inaugurated by Robert Pinksy, then poet laureate of the United States.
In addition, many of the departments in the school also host annual speaker series.
