Our Organization

The Information Technology and Analytics division is comprised of 60 full-time IT professional staff.  In addition, each semester between 75 and 100 students work in various positions throughout the organization to help provide IT services to the campus and gain valuable IT and work experiences.

Our Units

The Office of the CIO provides leadership for all aspects of Information Technology at IC and also houses the IT-Division’s business operations.

ECT provides primary client-facing services, including audio-visual services, business productivity applications, endpoint services, project management, service desk, student employment, and other aspects of our client support operations.

Our Teams:

Service Desk

Centrally located in Job Hall, the Information Technology Service Desk provides technology support for students, faculty and staff for a variety of technology areas. Our dedicated team of full time professionals and knowledgeable student employees are committed to ensuring our clients have an exceptional technology experience.

Audio-Visual

Classroom Technology / Audio Visual Services (AVS) provides drop and run support for issues with equipment in classrooms and meeting rooms. The AVS team is responsible for the placement, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the equipment inside the classroom.

Business Productivity

The Business Productivity group is responsible for business productivity, organizational communication and collaboration, and workflow applications and services.

IT Student Employment Team

Information Technology provides IC students the opportunity to gain professional work experience in a positive and inclusive environment. We employ approximately 75-100 student staff working in 16 different areas each semester within IT. We are committed to providing excellent supervision, programming, and professional development opportunities.

IC Makerspace

The IC Makerspace is a collaborative work space used for making, learning, exploring and sharing while utilizing a range of high tech to no tech tools.

Client Endpoint

The Client Endpoint team is responsible for managing and ensuring the functionality of end-user devices, such as computers, mobile devices, and peripherals. They handle device configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting to optimize user experiences and maintain a secure and efficient computing environment.

The A&I team provides services and functions focused IC's core applications, technology, infrastructure, data, and analytics.

Data, Analytics, and Special Projects

The Data, Analytics, and Special Projects team organizes and integrates data across systems, supports institutional research, and creates institutional dashboards. They execute special technical projects, including AI initiatives. The team's services focus on Ithaca College's core applications, technology infrastructure, data, and analytics, ensuring robust business intelligence architecture for informed decision-making.

Enterprise Applications 

The Enterprise Applications team focuses on the technical implementation and operations of enterprise applications at Ithaca College. They ensure that these systems, which support essential functions such as account provisioning, finances, and online services, operate efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our IC community.

Network and Systems Infrastructure

The Network and Systems  team focuses on the engineering and operations of the college's network and telephony infrastructure. They design, implement, and maintain these systems to ensure robust and reliable communication across the college. Additionally, they plan the lifecycle for the college's digital and voice communication infrastructure, addressing practical and operational needs to support the institution's mission and goals.

Project Management

The Information Technology Project Management team partners with departments across the campus to lead and manage key IT initiatives within the IT project portfolio and ensures they are executed effectively and on time. By applying leading project management practices, the team collaborates with campus community members and supports the successful management of IT-related projects.

Web Development

The Web Development team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Ithaca College's websites. They ensure the accessibility and security of web content and provide a user-friendly and secure online experience. The team creates responsive, efficient, and engaging websites that meet the community's needs while upholding the college’s standards and compliance requirements.

The Information Security & Access Management team works to protect IC systems, accounts, and data. It also manages account lifecycle, email, and physical security systems.

Center for Instructional Design & Educational Technology (CIE)

The CIE staff partners with faculty to explore educational technologies that support and engage the diverse Ithaca College community of learners. Instructional Designers provide consultations to faculty in Canvas course tools, course organization and design, and they provide solutions that support the teaching and learning experience. 

Educational Technology Center

Located in Job 102/103 a space dedicated to faculty for the exploration of incorporating media, podcasting, prototyping and 3D design, and virtual reality into the learning experience.
