Upcoming CPT and OPT Info Sessions for F1 Students

Are you an F-1 student interested in off-campus employment? If so, please come to one of the info sessions below and find out how you can apply for an off-campus work permit. The info sessions will go through both CPT (curricular practical training, employment for internships and other course-related off-campus work) and OPT (optional practical training, work after graduation).

F-1 Students - Opportunities for Off-campus Employment (Practical Training) Info sessions:

  • Thursday, February 8, from 12:10 pm - 1 pm
  • In person: PRWC 069 (the “glass room” across from the ITC, bottom floor of PRWC).
  • Tuesday, February 13, from 4 pm - 5 pm
  • In person: PRWC 069 (the “glass room” across from the ITC, bottom floor of PRWC).

May/August 2024 graduates: these may be of special interest to you! If you cannot make any of these 4 info sessions, know you can always book a brief meeting (in person or over Zoom) to get info and answers to your questions.

Career Caravan at the OIP International Tea Center

This stop on the Career Caravan tour is part of a monthly series where we are taking our services on the road (at least across campus) to different locations to encourage earlier and ongoing engagement with our office, and to assist you with your unique and personal career journey. 

Get help from a Peer Career Advisor (PCA) on various topics including résumé and cover letter writing, job/internship search, career exploration, networking, and more! Not sure if you need help? No worries! Just stop in to chat and learn more about the services we offer for students of all academic years.
