Provost Cornish convened the Academic Program Prioritization Implementation Committee (APPIC) and provided their charge. That charge includes:
- To begin its review of data on our academic programs, College-wide, examining factors which provide insight into student interest, such as enrollments, majors, minors, credit hours taught, applicants' academic interests, number of applications, etc.
- To look, thereafter, at factors which provide insight into faculty capacity, such as enrollments per faculty FTE, majors per faculty FTE, credit hours taught per faculty FTE, etc.
- To consult with the Academic Program Prioritization Implementation Committee (APPAC) as needed, to gain further context, not shown by the data, narrative about department history.
- To gather and consider additional feedback provided by faculty and departments through the APPAC.
- To create a draft “Shape of the College” document.
- To solicit and consider recommendations on “Shape of the College” draft from Deans, Departments and Faculty, and the Academic Policies Committee.
- To present a final version of the “Shape of the College” document to Provost and President for final decisions.

Provost Cornish convened the Academic Program Prioritization Advisory Committee (APPAC) and provided their charge. That charge includes:
- To review data to identify patterns within each program around applications, enrollment, majors, and graduates to determine student interest and/or demand.
- To engage with faculty to gather their ideas and input for possible changes.
- To provide APPIC with narrative to complement its understanding of and offer deeper context and value to the data.
- To consult with APPIC when necessary.
- To consult with Department Chairs and Program Directors when reviewing their programs.

Provost Cornish charged the Deans with their responsibilities particular to the APP process:
- To consult with planning units whose staffing plans might be impacted by proposed changes (4.9.8 Ithaca College Policy Manual).
- To facilitate department consultations with individual faculty who might be impacted by proposed changes (4.9.8, Ithaca College Policy Manual).
