This presentation explores the connection between wellness and walking and what the physical act of walking can do for our mental and physical health. We'll talk about the walking routines of a number of famous philosophers and what their walks represented for them and what we can learn from them as well. In order to ensure that this SLI is accessible to all students, we'll also explore the idea of the "walk" beyond the physical act of walking. Essentially, I posit that a "walk" can be any action that allows us to enter a different headspace that allows for introspection, relaxation, intellectual labor, etc. Presented by Dan Rogers, Associate Director of Student Involvement, Office of Student Engagement
