Graphic Designer Elana Schlenker Presents Her Work

Elana Schlenker is an art director, graphic designer, and principal of Studio Elana Schlenker. Through her eponymous design studio, founded in 2011, Elana cultivates an intentionally diverse practice, collaborating with clients of all sizes and across a wide range of industries. She has received the Art Directors Club Young Gun Award; been named to Print Magazine's annual New Visual Artist list, a distinction recognizing 20 of the world’s top creative talents under the age of 30; and has three times been shortlisted for the prestigious Paris Photo/Aperture Photobook Award; among other distinctions. Elana is the founder of Gratuitous Type, a magazine of contemporary graphic design, and Less Than 100, a traveling pop-up shop for gender wage parity. Since 2016, she has served as a lecturer at the Image Text Ithaca low-residency MFA program at Ithaca College. Elana also collaborates with designer and illustrator Mark Pernice on select projects through their collaborative design studio Out of Office, launched in 2018.
