Spring, Thanksgiving, and Winter Break Parking

During Spring, Thanksgiving, and Winter Break, the following alternative parking restrictions will be in effect:

  • Faculty and staff must park only in blue lots.
  • Students must park only in red lots.
  • Permits are required for all vehicles parked on campus.
  • Permit restrictions are in effect Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Posted restrictions are in effect in fire lanes, no-parking zones, timed spaces, accessible spaces, and other reserved spaces and lots.

Students who will NOT be on campus but wish to leave their vehicle here during Thanksgiving or Winter Break should park in S-Lot Extension.

Spring 2025 Semester Student Parking Permit Information

Student parking permits for the Spring 2025 semester are available online now.  All students are issued RED parking permits, which are valid in all red parking lots on campus. Permits for the Spring 2025 semester will cost $76 for upper-class students, $45 for graduate students, and $250 for first-year students.

Permits will NOT be mailed. Please ONLY select to have your permit held for pick up. If you select to have your permit mailed, we will automatically hold it for pick up.

2025 Employee Permits are Available

2025 employee parking permits are available to order online. Parking permits for 2025 will be valid for one year and expire on January 15, 2026. 

PERMITS WILL NOT BE MAILED TO NON-CAMPUS ADDRESSES. PLEASE ONLY SELECT TO HAVE YOUR PERMIT SENT TO YOUR CAMPUS ADDRESS OR HELD FOR PICK UP. PERMITS REQUESTED TO BE MAILED TO NON-CAMPUS ADDRESSES WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE HELD FOR PICK UP.

Winter Parking Reminder

Please be aware that due to snow accumulations, parking spaces may temporarily be congested. Despite the impact of the snow, operators remain responsible for parking in accordance with all the rules and regulations on the campus. Operators need to allow themselves ample time to find the spot that is appropriate for their permit.

Parking Services is a unit of the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management. We are a customer-oriented team of professionals dedicated to supporting Ithaca College’s mission by maximizing campus access and providing solutions and options to meet our community's parking needs. 

Ithaca College has established Parking Policies to provide adequate, reasonable, convenient, and safe access for all faculty/staff, students, and visitors to the campus. The parking system must reconcile parking demands with the limitations of land and financial resources. With this in mind, members of the campus community must understand that parking is a privilege. Individual parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ithaca College continually assesses its operations, procedures, and policies in order to foster the incorporation of sustainable thinking and practice into its day-to-day management. Our efforts continue to further our goal to create a "living-learning" laboratory that models and reinforces what our students are learning about sustainability in their classrooms. As a result we strongly urge students not to bring vehicles to campus, particularly during their first year.
