Housing and Meal Guidelines

Summer employees living in the Circle apartments until the complex closes on June 30th are not required to be on a meal plan. Summer employees living in the Terraces, Quads, or Towers are required to be on a summer meal plan. The summer meal plan is billed based on the dates submitted on the Summer Housing Registration form found on the housing portal in HomerConnect.

Summer positions that require staff to serve on duty provide free housing. Summer Housing Assistants can choose to forgo this part of their compensation if they have off-campus housing or a Circle Apartment, but the student is required to sleep on main campus in a designated room the nights that they serve duty.

Summer employees who receive free housing as part of their employment can only work on-campus a maximum of 37.5 hours a week. Their free housing counts as 2.5 hours a week.

For example: The Summer RA position counts as 2.5 hours a week. The student can also work for the Admissions Office up to 37.5 hours a week.
